You receive annoying messages on your iCloud email account that you want to block. However, you don’t know how to proceed to block these spammers? Then you are reading the right guide. In iCloud, it is possible to configure filters for the automatic elimination of messages that meet special requirements set by the user.
To access Apple’s webmail service, you must visit the iCloud.com web services portal. Log in with your credentials and choose Application Mail. Now click on the icon next to the gear symbol which you can find at the bottom right and select the item Rules.
In this new window, you will find all the filtering rules that you have configured in your account. If you’ve never configured a rule, the window will appear blank. Click on the entry Add a rule and in the first drop-down menu, select the item De. Then enter the email address of the person you want to block in the Name or email address fields. In the next drop-down menu, select the item instead of Move to Trash and click on Save and then again in Save.
From now on, all messages received from that specific sender will be automatically transferred to the mailbox Trash Can from your email account.
An iCloud Mail rule to the rescue
You may be able to stop all of this, or at least enable emails from showing up in your inbox. With a simple rule made easily, iCloud Mail can move new emails from unwanted senders to the Trash folder automatically. There, they’ll be deleted automatically, and you never need to see them.
Why do you want to block a sender?
Have you ever subscribed to a newsletter only to find that you’ve never read it – and unsubscribing doesn’t seem like it? Do you have a distant relative (or ex-coworker) who makes about 648 jokes every day, and that’s all he sends – and the talks, however serious, have done nothing to stop them Is? Has someone been harassing you by email on occasion (obviously mistaking you for someone who is) – and all your hints about them have done little to stop it?
