Realme First Premium Smartphone-Realme GT2 Pro

Realme is most well-known for its low-cost and mid-range phones. The company offers a comprehensive collection of smartphones (and tablets) that provide good value for the money. But, the company has not been a part of the flagship and premium smartphone race. It appears that the situation is set to change. The first renders and specs of the first flagship phone from Realme – expected to be named Realme GT2 Pro -have surfaced on the web.

The renders have been shared by the well-known leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (via 91Mobiles), who has posted pictures of his first phone. After a quick look at the device’s renders, it appears that Realme is drawing design cues of the Google Nexus 6P with the back of the phone featuring an entire camera bar in black. As you can see in the photo, the camera bar will include three sensors and an LED dual-LED flash. As per the reports, the phone will feature dual cameras with 50 megapixels and a GR sensor. The report states that the GR sensor “reduces ghosting and multi-coating on all surfaces” and also provides “excellent resistance against backlighting.”

The phone back is ceramic, while its railings are made out of aluminum. The leaker hasn’t revealed any photos of the front of the device. However, it’s likely to feature a display sporting an opening cut out for a punch hole on top. It is also believed to include an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Realme GT2 Pro Rumored Specs

In addition to the images, Hemmerstoffer has also shared the specifications Realme GT2 Pro could host. The leaker claims that Realme will launch GT2 Pro with Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor called Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The front will have a 6.8-inch HD+ OLED display that can support up to 120Hz refresh speed. In addition, the phone will be equipped with two camera sensors that can capture 50 megapixels and a GR sensor in the back.

The Realme GT2 Pro is expected to include 12GB of RAM and come with a minimum of 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will run Realme UI 3.0, which is believed to be based on Google’s most recent Android 12. The front of the phone will come with a 32MP of camera for selfies. The phone is also expected to feature 125W of rapid wired charging.

Hemmerstoffer claims the Realme GT2 Pro will be priced at around $799. At this price, it has good specs and competes with the models like The Apple iPhone 13 and even the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, would you be keen on purchasing a top-of-the-line phone from Realme? Would you instead go with brands like Apple and Samsung, which have offered high-end smartphones for a long time?
