Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Review – The Most Trusted Review of Samsung’s Most Powerful Phone

The sale of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship smartphone in India was started in March this year. Till now you must have seen many reviews of this smartphone from YouTube to many websites. But, we are going to present the review of this phone in front of you after taking a long time. We have used it as our primary phone for a long time. During this time many updates also came in the phone. The phone is expensive. In such a situation, it is obvious that a timely review will help you decide whether you should buy it or not.

Let us tell you that the 12/256GB variant of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra priced at Rs 1,09,999 has been reviewed. The company has given us the Phantom White color of the phone for review. For your information, let us also tell you that samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first phone of the S series, in which S-Pen has been given.

The premium look you would expect in a phone over Rs 1 lakh. You will get to see exactly the same in this phone. That is, the phone is so premium in appearance that even you unknown to you ask the price of your phone. Here the back panel is flat and plain. The back panel is of glass. The cameras present here are not in any module but are separate. There is a laser autofocus sensor in the back besides four cameras. The frame of the phone is of metal.

Handling the phone together is a bit difficult. But, the good thing is that despite the in-built S-Pen and big battery, the phone is not too heavy. Here the volume rockers and power button are on the right side. While operating the phone with one hand, you may find it a little difficult to reach them. The rest here is the SIM track, S-Pen, speaker grille and Type-C port at the bottom. However, you will not find a charger here with the phone.

The most important thing is that we used the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone without a cover during the entire review. Still, no damage was found in it. Due to the curved display in the phone, its grip is also better. It is sure that you will feel a little bump when you keep the phone on the table. Also, let us tell you that both the S Pen and the phone given in it are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.

Talking about the display, here is a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1750 nits peak brightness. Samsung is the king in the display case and you will see this thing in the display of this phone as well. Color-Brightness Here you will get everything perfect. Here the display will also look quite smooth due to the excellent touch response and high refresh rate.

The top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor has been used in this smartphone with 12GB of RAM. In this, users can also use up to 8GB of storage as additional RAM. Talking about performance, open heavy apps in it or play games on higher settings. This phone can handle everything easily. However, you may find the phone a bit hot while playing games. Also, let us tell you that during the initial use, this phone used to get very hot many times even during regular use. But, with the new updates this problem has gone away. The rest of the fingerprint sensor and the Face Unlock feature make it a very quick process.

After this, now talking about the software, Android 12 based One UI 4.1 has been given in it. This UI is very smooth and light. In this, you will not have to spend much time to find any setting. It has got a lot of features regarding customization and security. The most important thing is that as soon as the microphone or camera is turned on. You will start seeing green color notification in the top right. However, it will get Samsung’s own apps as well as many more apps preloaded. You can uninstall them if you want. There is also a problem that most of the time you will see an ad when you open the document.

For connectivity, it has support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, Ultra-Wide Band (UWB), NFC, 5G and 4G VoLTE. You will not face any problem regarding connectivity in the phone.

Stereo speakers are also provided in this flagship phone. Which is pretty awesome. But, not too loud. Talking about the battery. We noticed that the phone can be run comfortably for a whole day in full charge and in regular use. It has a massive 5,000mAh battery. Also, 45W wired and 15W wireless charging have been supported here. Since, the charger was not made available for review by the company. In such a situation, we could not test fast charging and we had to use the standard charger. Being the rest of the flagship smartphone. The fast charging capacity could have been increased further amidst the competition from other companies.

S-Pen is the most unique feature of this phone. It was earlier restricted to the note series. This is the first time that the S-Pen has been included in the S series phone. Talking about latency, you will feel like writing in a paper. If you use the phone more for making notes or are a designer, then this is the most useful thing for you.

The S-Pen can also be used for tasks like unlocking the phone and controlling the camera shutter. Also, quick notes can also be made as soon as the pen is taken out in the locked phone. Not only this, you can select any text and edit videos with utmost accuracy. Apart from all this, many air gesture based commands can also be given to the phone.

The rear of this phone has 108MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom) and 10MP telephoto camera (10x optical zoom). For selfies, there is a 40MP camera on its front. Its primary camera takes good pictures both in day and night. Artificial lighting also brings good pictures. The colors and dynamic range will all get you the best. Also, its autofocus also works well. However, users will have to change the mode to click the photo in 108MP.

Talking about the ultra-wide angle camera, it takes good photos in good lighting. But, the output is not good in low-light condition. The rest of the 3x and 10x optical zoom cameras work great. The most important thing is that it has support for total 100x digital zoom. We ourselves have clicked the photo of the moon at 100x that too handheld i.e. without tripod support. Even in portrait mode, photos are clicked with very sharp edge detection. One of the disadvantages of the camera of this phone is that even if you move a little while clicking the photo, it still gives you a clear image. Talking about the selfie camera, its output is also very good. You will also get the support of ultra-wide mode here. Portrait mode has also been supported for users for selfie videos.

Camera Features:-

Talking about the video, it records quite steady videos. Also, the support of Super Steady Mode is available here. This recording is excellent even in low-light. Also, here users will get support from ultra-wide to 10x zoom for video recording. Along with this, many professional modes like slow-motion, super slow motion, director’s view and hairlapse will also be available here. Overall, the cameras given in it work wonders.

The camera, display, software and performance of this phone are all excellent. Only sometimes the phone starts heating up on high usage. Along with this, the battery and fast charging support can probably be increased a bit. The design of the phone is also quite premium and justifies its expensive price. We used it without cover throughout the review period and found it to be quite durable as well. The most important thing is the S-Pen support given in it. In such a situation, if you want to take an expensive phone, whose camera, performance and display are great. Also, if you do any work like designing, then you can invest money in this phone. This is a complete package. At the same time, if you do not want S-Pen, then you can look at an option like S22+.
